TIGER WRESTLING NEWS UPDATE

Tigers wrestled at the Pat O'Brian Tournament at Troy Middle School. Tigers finished in sixth place out of thirteen. This was a good touranment with a lot good wrestling. We are proud of our wrestlers. We continue to improve."

Plano Middle School Wrestling

 Plano Middle School will be sending seven wrestlers to the I.E.S.A. State Wrestling Tournament. The tournament will be held Friday and Saturday March 12th and 13th at the N.I.U. Convocation Center in DeKalb,IL. The regional tournament was held at Sandwich High School on February 27. The top four place finishers at regionals advanced to the sectional tournament held at DeKalb High School on March 6th. Plano had fourteen wrestlers move on to the sectional tournament.   Wrestlers had to place in the top three at the sectional tournament to advance to the State Meet. Placing first at sectionals was  Shaun Wollenweber at 85 lbs., Weslye Brown at 145 lbs. and Junior Nunez at 275 lbs. Second place finishers were Dan Comiskey at 119lbs., Eloy Carrera at 135 lbs. and Jesse Melow at 185 lbs. Taking third place was A.J. Shead at 167 lbs. Wrestling begins Friday at 3:30 p.m. with the championship preliminary round of wrestling.
